CPL Winter Event Results

Here are the results of the recent CPL® Pentium® 4 Processor Winter 2002 Event, that took place in Dallas, Texas, Wednesday, December 18 through Sunday, December 22, 2002:

The $100,000 Counter-Strike tournament, primarily sponsored by Intel, was won by Team 3D from the United States. The final match between 3D and GoL was watched by a live audience of about six hundred and a worldwide online audience of about 30,000. The $30,000 Unreal Tournament 2003, primarily sponsored by NVIDIA and PNY Technologies, was won Johnathan "fatality" Wendel. Johnathan retains his title of CPL World Champion. He's kept the world title for three consecutive years. It is estimated that Johnathan has won about $180,000 in cash and prizes since becoming the CPL champion.The $10,000 Team Fortress Classic tournament, primarily sponsored by Telex, was won by Vindicate from the United States.
