team managed to get time on AMD's new Athlon 64-bit demo system with a 64-bit version of SuSE Linux, running a specially compiled 64-bit version of Unreal Tournament 2003, in order to

benchmark

the next generation of processors against their current 32-bit cousins. There's only a paragraph of benchmark info on the site, just below Fig. 1 of the article, so we won't spoil the surprise -
